Code of Ethics 
1. A responsible Scottie owner acknowledges that his/her first responsibility is to the welfare of
the breed, and does nothing that will be a detriment to the breed.
2. A responsible Scottie owner adheres to humane standards of care, feeding, and housing.
3. A responsible Scottie owner adheres to legally mandated rules regarding his/her dogs’
behaviors in public places , and, in addition, even if not regulated or legislated, ensures
that his/her dogs’ behaviors will not have a negative impact on the public image of the
breed or dogs as a whole. This includes the consistent use of leashes and prompt clean-
up of dog waste.
